Blogging Goals
If you have a blog, I’m going to venture a guess that you have some sort of goals that you would like to accomplish in regards to said blog – we’ll call them blogging goals.

Before we dive into blogging goals, though, let’s take a minute to define a few words…
What is a Blog?
According to WordPress.org…
“Blog” is an abbreviated version of “weblog,” which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information… Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects.
So, simply put, a blog is a journal-like website with various purposes and topics.
What are Goals?
Dictionary.com defines “goal” as…
…the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end. [Synonyms include,] target; purpose, object, objective, intent, intention.
Goals are simply the purpose or desired end result that one seeks to achieve.
So what do goals and blogging have to do with one another?
If you’ve started a blog, you probably had a purpose for starting it, thus you have blogging goals. Whether or not you’ve defined these blogging goals does not matter at this moment – simply having a blog indicates that they exist.
What now?
Now that we’ve established that your blogging goals exist, it’s time to take some action to define them. After all, we can’t effectively work toward fulfilling goals that we can’t define.
