This post is from contributor Mama Kautz.
Love what you do!
If you are going to blog, blog about something you love. I started out as Crazy Homeschool Mama almost 8 years ago. While we still homeschool, or “unschool” rather, I hardly write about it anymore ’cause it’s not my passion. Homesteading is, so if you come to Mama Kautz you will get to meet our goats and chickens.
Keep a regular schedule so your readers know what to expect
I have my posts pretty predictable. Tuesdays I write an essential oil tip, Friday is my Front Porch Friday blog hop, Saturday is homesteading in nature.
Provide “Sharing” buttons in each post
We want to be able to pin or tweet. Make sure you have those buttons easily accessible.
Get with like-minded bloggers to help promote each other
Something that has helped me tremendously is a group of bloggers who are in my niche. I actually have 2 groups, one for oils and one for homesteading. We help promote each other. It gives my Facebook peeps a variety, not just me everyday, and it helps get my content in front of a broader audience.
Be creative with your topics. Yours may be that one topic nobody has written about, but everybody wants to know about.
Don’t be afraid!
